One year ago today I was diagnosed with 'the best possible form of breast cancer'.  I was lucky.  It was found early through a routine mammogram, I had incredible doctors, supportive friends and family, my treatments went well, and I had great health insurance.  So one year later, it's my opportunity to get on a soapbox and preach.

If you are a woman - SCHEDULE a mammogram, KEEP your appointment, buy yourself a GIFT after (and take 3 Advil before).

If you are a man - tell the women you love (moms, sisters, wives, friends) to make an appointment, keep their appointment and reward themselves afterwards.  Preventative care is the gift they can give to you.

Okay, I'm done... Until next year.
